Our Story:
A thriving community in a new world needs connection, voice, and vision.
With over 20,000 Malayalis from Kerala calling Aotearoa home, we saw a clear need to go beyond traditional associations and create a platform for lasting cultural presence and impact.
Founding IdeaWeb Technologies Ltd: a registered charity (CC61994) led by professionals, focused on media, education, and community empowerment
Creating MalayalamFM 104.6: a volunteer-driven weekly radio program that celebrates our language, shares untold stories, and connects our people across generations.
Providing strong leadership: where full-time professionals contribute their expertise to build sustainable, strategic, and long-term community infrastructure.
We’re not just preserving culture; we’re shaping legacy, strengthening identity, and amplifying the voice of Kerala in the heart of Aotearoa.
Why We Do What We Do?
Because our stories matter. Our culture matters. Our people matter.
Too often, migrant voices are visible but not truly heard, so we created this platform to give Kerala’s Malayali community in New Zealand a clear voice and a confident identity.
We exist to:
Celebrate our vibrant culture and identity in Aotearoa
Showcase our community’s talents, achievements, and contributions
Preserve our language and traditions for future generations
This is more than cultural pride; it’s about connection, legacy, and empowering our people to tell their own stories for today and tomorrow.

What do we do?
We tell our stories. We amplify our voices. We bring people together.
Through MalayalamFM 104.6 and our broader media efforts, we uplift the lived experiences of Kerala’s Malayali community in Aotearoa—connecting generations, preserving identity, and amplifying unheard voices.
Broadcast real-life stories that reflect our community’s journey, identity, and local context
Celebrate culture and language through music, memory, and meaningful storytelling.
Bridge generations by creating inclusive platforms that connect youth, elders, and everyone in between
Every initiative is designed to ensure our community feels seen, heard, and valued—now and for generations to come.

How do we do it?
With real people. With passion. With purpose.
We welcome students, professionals, retirees, and children into our studios and spaces, providing them with a safe platform to share their stories, dreams, and challenges.
We produce radio and media that reflect authentic voices and lived experiences.
We create cultural programs that foster a sense of identity and belonging.
We build partnerships and run volunteer efforts that grow pride and connection.
This is more than content; it’s a community powered by people who care.

Our Distinct Role
Building Lasting Community Legacy
As a registered charity, our mission goes beyond events; we’re creating a sustainable media and cultural hub for Kerala’s Malayali community in Aotearoa, designed to grow and endure across generations.
We complement existing clubs by doing what others often can’t:
Deliver professional media initiatives that amplify our voices
Provide consistent leadership and planning rooted in purpose
Ensure long-term continuity through structured governance and vision
This is about legacy, not just what we build today, but what we leave for tomorrow.
